Setup Guide

Complete guide to setting up SafeOrbit360 from scratch. Estimated time: 5 minutes.

System Requirements

Dashboard (Admin)

  • Any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • Internet connection
  • SafeOrbit360 account

Agent Device (Monitored)

  • Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or higher
  • GPS / Location services enabled
  • Internet connection for initial setup
Note: iOS (iPhone/iPad) is not currently supported. The agent APK is Android-only.

Create Your Account

  1. 1.Go to dashboard.safeorbit360.com and click Create Account.
  2. 2.Select your account type: Individual / Family, Business / Enterprise, or School / Institution.
  3. 3.Enter your full name, email, phone number, and a strong password.
  4. 4.Check your email for a verification code and enter it to activate your account.
  5. 5.You are now inside your dashboard. Proceed to add your first monitored profile.

Add a Monitored Profile

  1. 1.From your dashboard, click the + Add Device button in the top-right corner.
  2. 2.Enter the name and optional photo for the person or asset being monitored.
  3. 3.Select a role — Family Member, Employee, Student, Vehicle, or Custom.
  4. 4.A unique setup QR code and download link are generated. Keep this screen open — you will need it in the next step.

Install the Agent APK

  1. 1.On the target (monitored) device, open a browser and navigate to the download link — or scan the QR code shown on your dashboard.
  2. 2.Tap Download APK. If prompted, allow installation from unknown sources in Android settings.
  3. 3.Open the downloaded file and tap Install. The agent configuration is pre-embedded in the APK.
  4. 4.Follow the Permission Wizard — grant Location, Phone, Contacts, and SMS permissions when prompted.
  5. 5.The agent will activate, connect to the backend, and send a device registration notification to your account.
💡 Tip: Enable "Install unknown apps" in Settings → Apps → Special app access on Android 8.0+. The agent auto-reverts this setting after installation for security.

Approve the Device

  1. 1.You will receive a push notification and email: "New device wants to pair with profile [Name]".
  2. 2.Review the device details (model, partial IMEI, Android version) to confirm it is the correct device.
  3. 3.Tap Approve to confirm, or Reject if the device is incorrect.
  4. 4.Once approved, live location data begins streaming to your dashboard within 30–60 seconds.

Setting Up Geo-Fences

Geo-fences let you define geographic zones and receive alerts when a monitored device enters or exits them. Available on Basic plan and above.

  1. 1.Open a device profile and navigate to the Geo-Fence tab.
  2. 2.Click + Add Zone. Search for an address or click on the map to drop a pin.
  3. 3.Drag the radius slider to set the zone size (minimum 50 meters, maximum 10 km).
  4. 4.Name the zone (e.g., "Home", "Office", "School") and choose whether to alert on entry, exit, or both.
  5. 5.Save. Alerts will be sent via push notification, email, and optionally SMS.

SOS Emergency System

The SOS system is triggered by pressing the device power button 5 times in rapid succession. This is available on all plans and requires no manual interaction after initial setup.

When SOS is triggered: 1) All registered contacts receive a push notification + SMS. 2) Live location is shared in real time. 3) The agent begins a 60-second ambient audio recording.

To register emergency contacts, go to Dashboard → Account Settings → Emergency Contacts and add up to 3 phone numbers.

Telegram Bot Integration Enterprise

Receive location updates, call summaries, and alerts directly through Telegram — useful when you want instant monitoring without opening the dashboard.

  1. 1.Open Telegram and search for @SafeOrbit360Bot.
  2. 2.Send the command /link and follow the authentication prompt.
  3. 3.Select which devices to link and which alert types to receive.
  4. 4.Use /location, /status, and /calls at any time.
