Technical

Which Android versions are supported?

The SafeOrbit360 agent supports Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and above. Samsung Knox integration is available for Galaxy devices running Android 9+, enabling deeper system-level control. iOS support is not available at this time.

The device is not sending location — what do I do?

First, confirm that Location permission is set to "Allow all the time" in Android settings for the SafeOrbit360 agent. Check that Battery Optimization is disabled for the app (Settings → Battery → App battery usage → SafeOrbit360 → Not optimized). Also verify the device has an active internet connection. Location updates resume automatically once connectivity is restored.

What happens when the device goes offline?

The agent stores all location data, call logs, and SMS locally on the device. As soon as internet connectivity is restored — even hours later — all buffered data is automatically uploaded to your dashboard in chronological order. You will never miss data due to an offline period.

How much battery does the agent use?

The agent is optimized for minimal battery impact. In typical use, it consumes approximately 3–5% of battery per day. Location update frequency adjusts dynamically — more frequent when the device is moving, less frequent when stationary — to conserve power.

What permissions does the agent require?

Required: Location (all the time), Phone (call logs), Contacts (name matching). Optional: SMS (for SMS monitoring — Premium), Microphone (for SOS ambient recording and call recording — Enterprise), Storage (for offline data caching). The Permission Wizard during setup guides the user through each permission with a plain-language explanation.

How are phone numbers matched to contact names?

The agent reads the device contact book (with Contacts permission granted) and matches numbers in call logs and SMS records to saved contact names. This happens locally on the device — contact data is never stored on our servers beyond the matched name.

Security & Privacy

How is my data secured?

All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Data at rest in our databases is encrypted with AES-256. Location data, call logs, and SMS content are stored in isolated, per-account encrypted storage. We perform quarterly third-party security audits.

Can the monitored person uninstall the agent?

No. The agent uses EMM (Enterprise Mobile Management) with Android's Device Policy Controller (DPC). This grants the app a privileged level of protection that blocks standard uninstall through the Settings menu. Only a remote uninstall command from your dashboard can remove it. A SIM change also triggers an immediate alert to your account.

Is my data sold to third parties?

Never. SafeOrbit360 does not sell, rent, or share user data with any third party for advertising or commercial purposes. Data is used exclusively to provide the monitoring service to you. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Is SafeOrbit360 GDPR compliant?

Yes. SafeOrbit360 is designed to comply with GDPR. Users can request data export, correction, or deletion at any time by contacting privacy@safeorbit360.com. We maintain a full data processing agreement (DPA) for Enterprise customers.

Billing & Plans

Is there a free trial for paid plans?

Yes. All paid plans (Basic, Premium, Enterprise) include a 14-day free trial with full feature access. No credit card is required to start the trial. After 14 days, you are automatically moved to the Free plan unless you choose to subscribe.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. You can cancel at any time from your account settings with no cancellation fee. Your plan remains active until the end of the billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan and data is retained for 30 days.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first paid subscription if you are not satisfied. Contact billing@safeorbit360.com with your order reference.

Do you offer discounts for institutions or NGOs?

Yes. Verified educational institutions and registered non-profit organizations receive 40% off all plans. Contact billing@safeorbit360.com with proof of registration.

How are devices counted in my plan?

Each active device with the SafeOrbit360 agent installed counts as one device toward your plan limit. Admin or dashboard users (who monitor devices but do not have the agent) are not counted. You can deactivate a device from your dashboard at any time to free up a slot.
